Games limited to two players, such as checkers or chess, can isolate more than draw together and tend to work better for older children. However, even games for two can be set up as tournaments with each side cheering on the player playing for “ their” side. Players take turns. The losers have to make the popcorn or provide the snacks.

Family members can see how high they can build towers using plastic or wooden blocks or things found around the house, such as paper cups, small boxes or Popsicle sticks. If family members build with interlocking blocks, have contests about who can build the most colorful tower, the most elaborate or interesting house, the scariest monster or the most unusual vehicle.

Play classic games such as Red Light-Green Light, Simon Says, Red Rover and Duck, Duck, Goose. These need a larger area so need to be played outside.

Playing games as a family encourages family unity and can be used to teach good sportsmanship.

People can get tickets for the movie premier that they are interested in seeing in a few ways. They can find out about ticket giveaways for the event. Many times there will be some giveaways for the event in New York City. Even if individuals have not won tickets they can still show up at the event. There are often people that have extra tickets that they won. These individuals may be willing to part with the tickets for a lower price than at the door. Interested individuals can also simply buy tickets at the booth for the event and pay full price as long as it is not sold out. This option is easier but will be more costly as well.
